Princeton Man Arrested for Resisting an Officer

4/29/2010

A Princeton man was arrested early Thursday morning for resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by intoxication, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Corey Lance Moore, 39, of the 100 block of Tank Farm Road, was taken into custody when Bossier Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 and Princeton Road around 1:00 a.m. concerning a possible domestic disturbance. Bossier Sheriff’s Office dispatchers advised the deputies that a man and a woman were arguing in or near a vehicle on the side of the road.

When deputies arrived, they saw Moore driving a truck westbound along the side of Highway 80. It jerked toward the shoulder, and Moore slammed on the brakes. At that point, one of the deputies saw a female being knocked to the ground, and Moore moving toward her body.

The deputy got out of his marked unit, yelled “Police!”, and told Moore to get on the ground. Moore refused and the deputy wrestled him to the ground, yelling multiple times for him to get on the ground. Moore resisted by trying to free himself from the deputy’s grip, but other deputies helped get him handcuffed.

Moore was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond was set at $1,150.
