Plain Dealing Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

A Plain Dealing man was arrested Saturday night for aggravated assault with a firearm, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Rodrick Trivle Smith, 45, of the 600 block of Bolinger Cutoff Road, got into an argument with the victim while holding a firearm. During the argument, Smith fired three rounds through an open door. The victim ran to his car in fear for his life. The victim contacted a deputy at the Plain Dealing Police Department for help. Deputies went back to the home to contact Smith. Smith was arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. His bond is set at $25,000.
