Princeton Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

6/01/2010

A Princeton man was arrested Monday night for attempted 2nd degree murder and illegal use of a weapon, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Ramon Lamon Green, 40, of the 1300 block of Winnfield Road, was taken into custody on two active Bossier Sheriff’s Office warrants. Green was involved in an altercation at a family gathering on Winnfield Road over the weekend, and according to witnesses, Green, who was drinking, got into an argument with one of his cousins over a horse.

Green produced a loaded shotgun, stuck it in his cousin’s chest and pulled the trigger twice. The weapon did not fire either time, but when another person sought to intervene and take the gun away from Green, Green pulled the trigger a third time and the weapon discharged. Fortunately, it was pointed straight up, so no one was hurt.

Bossier Sheriff’s deputies found Green at a residence in the 400 block of Fullwood Monday night, arrested him and transported him to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility
where he was booked. His bond was set at $250,000.
