Haughton Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse

A Haughton man was arrested early Saturday morning for domestic abuse battery, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Scotty Lee Rodriguez, 31, of the 100 block of Vantage Point Road, got into a physical argument with his wife of four years. The two returned home and got into a fight about a woman at a bar. Rodriguez attempted to force his wife out the door. During the struggle, her left hand was caught in the door jam and Rodriguez slammed the door. He also slapped her in the right eye knocking her to the ground where she cut her right elbow. Witnesses supported the victim’s statements. She received two broken fingers on her left hand and had a mark on her right eye. She also had a cut on her right elbow. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. His bond was set at $7500.
