Bossier City Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession

6/09/2010

A Bossier City man was arrested Tuesday afternoon for third-offense marijuana possession, possession of drugs with a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to use a turn signal, for having no driver’s license on his person and for an improper display of his license plate, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Devin Matthew Boston, 22, of the 2200 block of Middle Creek Drive, was taken into custody after a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy saw him change lines without using a turn signal and almost hit another car. Boston did not have his driver’s license with him, and he had the wrong license plate displayed on his vehicle.

During a search of his vehicle, deputies recovered marijuana and a marijuana smoking device. Boston told the deputies he also had more narcotics and narcotic equipment at his house and agreed to lead them back to his residence. When deputies searched his residence, they seized a shotgun, multiple marijuana smoking devices, loose marijuana and miscellaneous drug equipment.

Boston was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
