A Bossier City man was arrested early this morning for domestic abuse battery, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Loi Quoc Tran, 31, of the 4800 block of Airline Drive, was taken into custody after he sprayed bug repellant into his wife’s eyes. When a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy entered Tran’s apartment and made contact with his wife of seven years, she told the deputy she and her husband got into a verbal altercation.

During the argument, Tran went into the bedroom and closed the door. His wife said when she opened the door, Tran sprayed bug repellant into her eyes, but she did not require medical attention. Tran admitted he did it, but said it was done to make his wife leave him alone.

Tran was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
