Haughton Man Arrested for Operating a Vehicle without a Lawful Presence

6/14/2010

A Haughton man was arrested late Thursday night for operating a vehicle without a lawful presence and reckless operation, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Jose Nicanor Espino Montes, 23, of the 2600 block of Horacek, was taken into custody after a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy saw him traveling north on Bellevue Road. Montes ran off the road in front of Bellevue Road Animal Hospital.

When a traffic stop was made in the 1400 block of Bellevue Road, Montes told the deputy he did not have a driver’s license and was in the country from Mexico illegally. He was advised of his rights and placed under arrest.

Montes was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
