Heflin Man Arrested for Disturbing the Peace, Warrants
6/14/2010
| | A Heflin man was arrested early Sunday morning in Haughton for disturbing the peace drunk, resisting an officer, and four fugitive warrants, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Shawn Quinton Hubbard, 19, of the 200 block of Douglas Davis Road in Heflin, was arrested after a deputy was dispatched to a home along La. Hwy. 157 in Haughton at 4:07 a.m. The residents stated that someone was banging on their door asking for gasoline. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Hubbard who told them his name was Shane, not Shawn. He had glossy red eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Hubbard stated that he and his partner had run out of gas. Upon further investigation, deputies determined that Hubbard provided his twin brother’s name to avoid being arrested on four outstanding warrants. He had one warrant for home invasion from Webster Parish and three warrants from Bienville Parish for home invasion. Hubbard was arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. His bond is pending.
