Bossier City Man Arrested for Trespass, Property Damage

A Bossier City man was arrested yesterday evening for criminal trespass and felony criminal property damage, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. John Mark Hughes, 26, of the 1200 block of Wemple Road, was arrested yesterday evening for riding his motorcycle and damaging crops on Viola Farms. Hughes had been warned that he was trespassing by the owner of the farm. The owner had chased Hughes from his property three previous times. The owner called the Bossier Sheriff’s Office while Hughes was still on his property. Deputies stopped Hughes and made contact with him. He stated that he knew what he was doing was wrong. He was arrested and taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. His bond is pending. The owner estimated the damage to his land equated to approximately $1,000.
