Princeton Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse Battery

6/21/2010

A Princeton man was arrested early this morning for domestic abuse battery, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

John Caleb Miller, 21, of the 100 block of Atchafalya, was taken into custody after a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a domestic violence call. The deputy said Miller grabbed his girlfriend of seventh months by the neck and closed a door on her arm.

Miller’s girlfriend told the deputy she and Miller had been arguing all day and when she tried to go into the bathroom, he shut the door on her right arm and then grabbed her around the neck. After the confrontation, Miller left the home and the deputy found him later at a residence in the 700 block of West McKinley.

Miller told the deputy he and his girlfriend had been arguing, but he did not touch her. The deputy informed Miller that his girlfriend had red marks on her arm and neck and due to the visual evidence, he was being placed under arrest.

Miller was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
