Two Women Arrested for Distribution of Schedule III

A Blanchard woman and a Shreveport woman were arrested yesterday afternoon for distribution of schedule III, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Melodi Rose Anderson, 26, of the 100 block of East Robinson in Shreveport, and Mallory J. Oswalt, 24, of the 200 block of Birch Street in Blanchard, were arrested yesterday afternoon following an undercover operation. Anderson and Oswalt accepted cash from undercover agents in exchange for Suboxone. Suboxone is a prescription drug used to help with opioid dependence. The ladies left the location to retrieve the drugs but returned to the scene after learning that it was an undercover buy. Both Anderson and Oswalt turned themselves in to authorities. They were both arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. Their bonds are set at $15,000 each.
