West Monroe Man Arrested for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile

6/24/2010

A West Monroe man was arrested Tuesday night for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Derrick Wade Auttonberry, 25, of the 200 block of Lynette Street, was stopped at the intersection of I-20 and I-220 headed westbound. A caller notified the Bossier Sheriff’s Office of the vehicle, and a deputy was dispatched to check on the occupants. When deputies arrived, they learned that Auttonberry had a 15-year-old girl with him without her parents’ permission.

Contact was made with the teen’s parents, and her father stated that his daughter had been away from his residence for the past three days. He also stated that he had filed a runaway report with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. The father further said that she did not have permission to be with Auttonberry, and he had no idea where she had been for the past three days.

Auttonberry was arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. His bond is set at $1000. The 15-year-old girl was returned to her family.
