Haughton Woman Arrested for Marijuana Possession

A Haughton woman was arrested late Wednesday night for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Gladys Opal East, 54, of the 2600 block of Horacek Road, was taken into custody after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies received a report that East was intoxicated and yelling at a juvenile complainant. After deputies arrived, they determined East was not intoxicated and that the juvenile was in trouble for violating home rules. During the course of the investigation, the juvenile told deputies East had drugs and smoking devices in the residence. East voluntarily turned the items over to the deputies. East was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. Her bond was set at $1,000.
