Plain Dealing Man Arrested for Domestic Abuse

A Plain Dealing man was arrested Sunday afternoon for domestic abuse battery, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen. Roger L. Burney, 35, of the 200 block of Stromile Road, was taken into custody after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a report that Burney had placed his hands on his wife’s throat against her will. His mother-in-law pulled him off of his wife during the physical altercation. Burney’s wife had minor swelling on her left jaw, and he admitted to deputies that he “lost it” and attacked his wife. He said he knew what he did was wrong, but he was under a lot of stress. Burney was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
